1978 Lincoln Town Car Fuel Problem

We bought a 1978 Lincoln Town Car for our son. It's sat
for about a year. Now I can't get gas to go in the tank.
When I try to fill it the nozzle shuts off like it's full. Think
it's a venting issue but not sure where to look for that. Any
advice appreciated.

There are vents in the top of the tank that will have a small hose attached to the frame or a frame rail close too the fuel tank, plus there is also another hose inside the filler hose that comes up the filler neck, today's fuels have been known to deteriorate those hoses so you may have to drop the fuel tank to replace them.
