Engine swap

Asked by Living_the_dream May 16, 2019 at 02:02 PM about the Buick Regal

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can a 2001 Buick regal engine be put
in a 1995 Buick regal. Bother are the
3800?

241,195

It won't be a plug and play operation. The 2001 engine will have to be downgraded to the 1995 engine management system, this means that you will have to put the 1995 intake, exhaust manifolds and possibly the flexplate onto the 2001 engine.
