how can i find a vacumn leak on a 2000 buick lasabre?

the car is not idling right, idles very high, then returns to normal, then idles high
at different times. autozone checked it said was tps, replaced it but didnt help.
now mecahinic thinks its a vacumn bad somewhere.

Do some youtube video searches for (vacuum leaks).

check all the rubber hoses, but could be a gasket, A smoke test is the best way to find a vacuum leak. EC above mentions youtube, you can find plenty of videos on how to do it cheaply with an hand air pump and cigar to taking it to a mechanic.

A dirty or bad Mass Air Flow sensor will do this. You can clean or replace it easily. See https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=paidfR2A4t0
