My heat is not coming on...

Question type: General

Hello.

My husband and I purchased a 2013 Ford Taurus a
few months ago. We noticed when the weather
got cooler (living in Arizona) that the heat didn't
come on. Now having moved back to the North we
really need the heat. My husband installed a
couple of new "modular type" things for a lack of a
better term, after finding a fix it yourself site on
line. We aren't car folks and trying to do this on a
budget without the proper tools has been tough.
Just trying to get your hand up into the ares is
hard. Anyhow, the problem seemed to be fixed, at
least temporarily.  It worked for awhile,  then it
started to go out again only working once in
awhile. However, if we turned the car off and then
on again it would eventually come on. This
morning it didn't come on , so I restarted it as
usual and it still didn't come on.
My question is, do you all have any suggestions? I
want to try and do this myself before taking it to
the dealership which will cost a lot I'm sure.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!! Nicole
