Mechanical problem

Asked by Sep 28, 2018 at 09:47 AM about the Nissan Stagea

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Nissan Stagea 1997. But off late when I drive after sometimes
especially in traffic jam the engine goes off and fails to restart until after it cools
down again then starts. I have changed the fuel pump, changed the Engine
Switch, changed the vacuum sensor but the problem is still there. What could
be the problem?

Problems like this are most likely related to the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) located near your thermostat. Either the sensor has gone bad or an electrical wire has shorted. Should be a warning light on your dash. Go to an auto parts store where they will check for codes free.
