Radio fault?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everyone! Hoping that someone can help me! I
have recently bought Peugeot 307, 2002 Automatic
and for the last couple of time I drove it there's this
strange beeping coming out of the radio screen
with a message saying Storing Automatic? I'm
assuming it's saying Automatic as it doesn't show
me anything else on the screen. Today when it
happened, the car kinda slowed down and it took
me a good 10 second to build up speed again. I
have read that lots of people saying it could be anti
pollution thing but it doesn't say that on the radio
screen and there's no light showing me anything on
the dashboard! Anyone knows what it is? I'm
scared to drive it as I don't want to break down.
Please help!

That has nothing to do with how the car is running, you need to have the codes read. This model car had bad tappets and when is oil is cold and it will sounds as the car is running on only 2 or 3 cylinders. Since its an older car and replacing the tappets will cost more then the car it worth. drain the oil and try putting a lighter weight oil in it. make sure you change the oil filter as well and see what happens...
