engine runs fast slowing down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

KA ENGINE REVS UP WHEN SLOWING DOWN

1 Answer

535

That is actually the transmission downshifting to a lower gear, which causes the RPMs to jump up. Nothing you can likely do about it since the transmission control module dictates the shift logic to the transmission. Buy a manual car next time.
