Is it possible to put 350 engine out of a 91 gmc
into a 97 Camaro that has the 3800 ? If so, what all
would I have to swap over?
Possible, but I would not try it. Your best bet is to fond a Camaro with that configuration in a wrecking yard that same year and do the transfer that way cause your going to need everything powertrain related even the wiring harness and computer systems. And don't forget the suspension as it will also have to be swapped due to the weight additions. Way more trouble that the car is worth unless you like doing that kind of stuff.
Look over on the Camaro forums where this swap is discussed, it involves everything, entire drivetrain to rear diff, crossmember, suspension, harness/computers/controls. Either dump the car in favor of a V8 Camaro or just build the engine you have. Add a turbo (or two) and competition induction and computer.
I do not recommend this.Your car would never be smog legal for one thing.
