There is only one fuel pump located in the fuel tank. When you turn the key to the On position and don't start the car you should hear the pump turn on, or prime the system, it should make a buzzing noise for 5 seconds and go off, then when you start the car it should activate again and run as long as the car should. Most times you won't hear it when the car is running.
