Headlights not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My driver's side headlight went out, bought new bulb and it
still didn't work. It was connected and everything. Ive tried
a couple different bulbs and it still did nothing. I was
driving at night from work with my highbeams on and that
was working fine but a couple days ago my highbeams
stopped working too. I know literally nothing about cars.
Anyone know how to fix this or does it need to go into the

If it's not the bulb, possible causes are a corroded socket or a wire; hot or ground. I wouldn't expect a single light out to be caused by a bad headlight relay, module, headlight switch, or dimmer switch. Try spraying contact cleaner into the bulb socket and cleaning any corrosion off the bulb. If this doesn't work, you should use a multi-meter to check currant back to ground and to the fuse box.
