Car won't shut off

Asked by Oct 17, 2019 at 08:30 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt Ls stick shift.
Well couple weeks ago I went to shut off my
car and I do so take key out and my car was
still running, so I replaced my ignition switch
and nope it still won't shut off. Sometimes I
can get it to shut off after a few mins of me
put my key in and out and turning it. But
once I get it to shut of it's still running in it's
mind lol because my passenger air bag is on
my engine light is still on (which had been
cause of my H2 censor) i tested my thought
on if the car thought it was still running
cause the next day my battery was dead. So
now I just disconnect my battery every time
I shut car off. What is the problem cause it
isn't the ignition switch
