VW bug 1973 heat

is there any type of heat in the 1973 bug and if there is is it enough to defrost
the window and keep the driver warm

That was the problem with those air coolers, just not enough heat when it got cold, back then they made a gasoline fired heater that was plumbed into the heater system, my Dad had one put in his square back back in 1968. So these days I doubt if you can still find any of those around. What in my last bug is bought a small electric heater that I put on the car at night on low that kept in inside warm enough to keep the ice off the windows and then I used one of the 12 volt electric defroster guns if the Windows started fogging while driving. Those are defently not a cold weather vehicle especially if it drops down into single digit temps. HTH
