Vovlo Car

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Here is a mechanical question as I am having a problem with my garage.I
took my car a Vovlo V70 20104 for its MOT yesterday morning. As garage
busy I left my car outside its main entrance and left the key at the reception.
Not long after I left I had a phone call that they could not turn the key and
steering lock on has there been a problem with it. I said no never. About 20
minutes later another phone call the garage saying they going to have
remove the pin in the steering lock  to get it going as they needed to move
the car and and a consequence my steering lock would not be able to work.
Later in the afternoon I contacted to garage to be informed they had
appeared to dismantled the whole steering mechanism and lots of things had
to be replaced and going to cost hundreds of pounds. I am thinking that in
their hurry to move the car they forced and broken the lock. Is there any way
to discover the truth about this.?

It sounds like they tried to start it with the wrong key and that initiated the security system. The rest of the trouble was the garage trying get the car moving and to make up for their mistake.
