been having a problem putting gas in the tank at the pump, it kept tripping off and when i did it by can it would fill all the way to the top and slowly go down.. dropped the filler tube and check for obstruction, first ran a wire down and it felt that something might be there.  after taking off the rubber it was clear. then ran a wire from the rubber hose into the tank. still kind of felt that something was in there but i had enough wire to be into the tank.  put it back together and it still filled to the top and then went down.. started it up and the gauge jumped way past full but went down as i was driving.

where is the vent valve.. i show a large filler port next to a vent line and both of those connect to the filler neck. there is also a cap in the rear of the tank that has a hard line and a soft rubber line, the hard line heads along the rail toward the engine and the rubber line is about 10 inches and hangs over the tank but it has a plastic cap on it. there may also be a hole in the front of the tank have not look for that yet.... some say a spider may have built a nest in a vent tube but the only one i found has a cap on it anyway.. next thought is the vap canister which i have yet to find.. says it is on the front of the frame on passenger side. as for the fuel gauge going wild. it did it after i put in about 1 gallon of gas slowly via a gas can followed by a bottle of gas treatment and a octane boost bottle... then started the car. the gauge went wild but slowly went to normal after i drove a few miles.

ok i found my vapor canister where it was not supposed to be.. instead of being on the frame of the passenger side it was below the drivers door next to the fuel filter.. so here goes.. i have a dual line that comes off the rear end of the gas tank.. one rubber hose that goes over the edge of the tank and is capped.. the other is a a hard line that runs along the rail to up near the fuel filter.. there it turns to rubber and then splits to a tee.. one end going up into the engine compartment.. the other crosses the frame and goes into the vapor canister. nothing comes out of the canister but there is a cap on the second opening on it... so how does the canister even work if it is not even connected but in only...
