Blown Head Gasket or Something Less Costly

Asked by Jun 25, 2018 at 02:18 PM about the 2002 Buick Century

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Buick Century with about 85,000 miles.  After about 5 or 10
minutes of running the engine overheats drastically.  It looks like coolant got
into the engine oil but the oil dipstick doesn't show the tell tale milky white
substance yet.  However, the oil color on the dipstick light brown and under
the oil fill cap is a spotty white sludge.  Does this sound like head gasket
trouble or maybe something else I can consider?
Thank You.
