the fuel pump is in the gas tank on your 89 model
you have (2),One is high press, the other low. One is in the tank, other on left frame rail
89 still had 2 pumps,a low pressure and a high pressure, one in tank and one on frame.
Colin is correct there is a low pressure pump in the gas tank with the fuel gauge attached and there is a high pressure pump on the frame. The high pressure pump should be in the range of 50 to 55 psi.
Which side would be the left side according to you guys....Driver side or passanger.
That assembly on the frame also contains a filter that has a tendency to clog. My understanding is you have to replace the whole assembly

Since rollNspray rollovers, fuel pumps have been in the tank to stop the high-pressure fire show~ think is was 90 or 92.
