96 stick shift Chevy making a rattling noise.

I have a 1996 K1500 stick shift single cab truck
and it started making a rattling noise as if a fan
was hitting a piece of tin. I was told to change my
starter and I did that and it still makes the noise.
When I push my clutch and the noise gets softer
and when I ease off the clutch to excel in speed
the noise gets louder.

Sounds like a broken clutch plate. Sometimes rivets break and a pad gets loose then rubs on the bell housing or the "tinny" dust cover. Common problem when I used to Drag Race.
