2007 CRV won't start
My elderly mom lives in another state and I am trying to
help her. I video called with her this evening. She got in (my
old) 2007 Honda CR-V and tried to start it and it won't turn
The car lights, dash, and air work. The lights seem to be
bright. The radio doesn't seem to turn on. There is no crank
or motor sound when she turns the key. You can hear the
usual beeping from the car when you first get in.
The antitheft light is blinking, so she thinks this is the
cause. I seem to recall that light was always blinking...
The dash speedometer on the left shows "Brake 1" at the
bottom of the gears (not sure if I ever noticed that). We
verified that the car is in park.
There don't seem to be any other lights on the dash other
than TPMS, ABS and VSA.
What could be the cause here?
Might just be a weak battery. See if she can get someone to test it for her. IF she gets someone to jump start the car, then that would be the issue.
