Window wiper sensor

Hi my window wiper sensor is not working properly
when I stop the wipers stop and when I move off
they don't come back on again at all I have to pull
over and turn off the ignition and try to get them
going again thir is a clicking noise coming from the
glove box when I move the wipers stark how do I
fix this issue or turn off the sensor
