Head Gasket Sealant

Asked by Sep 02, 2017 at 02:53 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. I came
out of the store to find radiator fluid all
over. (My nephew took the car for a
joyride 4 days prior, cracking the front
bumper and ground effects) I may have
jumped the gun, I ran and put Bar's Leak
in the radiator. That was January. The car
started overheating and I've changed a
thermostat (which maybe by coincidence,
fix the problem for about week?) Then
was told be AutoZone it was my water
pump. So I changed THAT. That kept me
going without overheating for over a
month . I've been overheating and filling
my radiator ever since trying to just get
the car to make it till Nov when I'm
moving. My battery died, and a friend
showed up to jump it. Never knocked on
the door, just jumped it AND LEFT IT
RUNNING. The car temp gauge was
buried when I came outside! Shut it off, let
it cooldown, and refilled the radiator with
water. When I left it immediately
overheated, and the milky brown fluid was
pouring under the car, white smoke, and
every sign the Head Gasket blew!
I want to know if using BlueDevil Head
Gasket Sealent is an option for me to
keep it going till November? And should I
flush my radiator? I started it today to
move it, and a lot of horrible smelling whit
smoke is coming for the exhaust. I also
have a WEIRD yellow waxy substance in
my oil cap.??
