I have a Mitsubishi VR-G Galant 1998, 1.8L, 16V, DOHC, GDI Petrol Engine. The spark plugs are burning very black and Air Filter and plugs are new. Poor fuel consumption at 11 km/l. The Mitsubishi performance data sheet says it should be 29.3 km/l @ 60 km/hr. Can you advise what I can do to reduce the soot on the plugs and improve fuel consumption?
