2001 Chrysler Sebring LXi Coupe, 3.0L Engine Issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 01 Sebring with the 6g72 3.0 v6... it been a good car but now has
me scratching my head because i cant figure out whats up with it. a while
back i power washed the engine bay real quick just because it was a little
rough, i ran it after and even took it out later that day and seemed to run
fine as normal... it had its "sticky lifter" tap to it but it was like that since day
one. but anyway the next day its all crank but no start, so i checked the
plugs, added some gas just to be safe and even replaced my crank sensor
along with a whole new distributor with cap and button... it barley started
and it idled bad at around 400 rpms, it couldn't rev up either.. sometimes it
wont start at all and will actually pop and try to catch resulting in the rather
violent shake once or twice.. i did a fuel pressure test after i noticed the
plugs were a little fouled out but all seems fine and no check eng light
neither.. pulled the intake apart, cleaned it and replaced the idle air motor
but still no go, i also cut the exhaust before the cat because it was shot
thinking it was clogged... now i'm leaning towards timing because i did a
number 1 cylinder top dead test and studied the cap and button position
but i'm at a loss.. i'm almost out of options and i am not very tall when i
stand on my wallet (low cash), if anyone out there had a issue like this
and/or can help that'll save me soo much, Thanks!!
