Same problems like every one els with my 2003 sable 24valve! HELP me out please??

Asked by Feb 15, 2017 at 01:46 PM about the 2003 Mercury Sable

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

bought a 2003 sable 24valve 84000 miles very very cheap because of the
same problems everybody els has-hesitation and stalling when put in
drive/reverse and braking. Cold start in mornings and notice motor shaking
very bad with very very low idling until car is warming up running after 20
minutes then its very quiet & running smooth but still having same
problems. the first owner put new cadillac converter, fuel pump & filter and
all o2 sensors, spark plugs wires to. Still same problems and still chech
engine light but with no codes reading nothing wrong but there is! this was
all done by certified pro mechanics in which the last thing they did was put
in a new brain(ECM) and still they couldn't fix. So he gave up and sold it to
me. I started replacing most of the sensors-map,egr
valve,MAF,TPS,camshaft sensor. I won't give up now to many new
parts, time and money plus this car is like new inside and the out side no
rust, scratches, or dents. So please anyone help me out? PLEASE?

Check all the rubber hoses that come off the intake for cracks. Sounds like a vacuum leak. Smoke test the vehicle to find the leaks if you have too.
