Throttle body

Asked by Jun 28, 2018 at 05:04 PM about the 2015 Dodge Dart

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I just got my dart and the check engine light
came on next day I took it a car shop and the
diagnostic came back and I needed to get the
thermostat replaced so I got that replaced and I
called on the progress and was my car was barely
running after the service and they sent me these
issues. P0335, P0642, P2122, U0401, P0128. I
asked what how this happened because my car ran
fine before they touched it. They said they had no
idea and got it towed to a dealership after their
diagnostic they found that the throttle body was
damaged, a bracket missing, and a piece was not
plugged all the way about 3/4 (maybe the throttle
body I don’t remember exactly) and these had all
contributed to my car not running well.  My
questions are 1. Is the throttle body and thermostat
in the same area so you would have to remove or
move the throttle body to get to the thermostat? 2.
Could this really have been an underlying issue or
did the shop damage my car?
