Any insight on the cause of this code?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My alternator recently went out in my 2014 Honda Odyssey.
I had it towed and told the shop to do a tune up as well
because I bought it used at 150k miles and had been
meaning to do it since I bought it. There were no issues
until the alternator went out. Pick the car up and start it. As
soon as I start it, it throws a code. I go in to talk to the shop,
but apparently the technician who fixed my alternator was
already gone and I either had to leave it and find another
ride or bring it back Monday. Checked the code at
autozone, and it's a vvt rocker arm solenoid so probably
unrelated but a syrange coincidence. However, when I get
home I pop the hood to look at it. First, I notice my engi e
shroud hanging by a prayer because it wasn't fastened
back down. Next, there are 4 new zip ties now holding my
power steering reservoir in place with a hose that doesn't
belong snug in behind it. My new alternator and skid plate
are drenched in fluid. They had refilled the fluid, but my
question is could the fluid spill have caused it to throw a
code at all or is it all just purely coincidental? Or was an oil
leak the cause of my alternator going bad and it just didn't
throw the code until it was fixed?
