2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 Anti-Theft system glitches

Asked by Jenmlewis Nov 04, 2019 at 06:31 PM about the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our truck has given us some run for our money
recently. We were in a hail storm and sustained
$11,100 in damages. Since getting our truck back
from the body shop we have had 3 separate
instances where our anti-theft system is activated.

We initially thought it was the battery and had it
checked because the first time, it just died after I
turned it off. The second time I turned it off and it
died again, then turned back on (electronics only—
Key was out). When we got back to the truck it
didn’t start for us and the car with the lock light
came on. Finally, the third time I was getting into
the truck and the electronics started up, but
wouldn’t turn over, no struggle, no clicks, nothing. It
just popped up a warning that said Service: Anti-
Theft System.

Anyone experience this?
