Car engine shut off while driving highway speeds

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a 2002 Infiniti Q45, as I was driving on the interstate (65mph) to work one morning, the engine shut off. Everything else worked power wise (windows, radio, locks etc) and when I turned the ignition, the engine would crank but not turn over. I assumed the engine had seized and had it towed to my mechanic. The following day my mechanic said the car started right up and he could not find where the problem was as my car would not shut off again when he drove it. What could it be? I had just had an oil change and filled the tank (although the gas gauge does not work) the day before this happened, and I just had the radiator replaced. Looking for suggestions as I am now afraid of this happening again
