BMW 2010 X3 Oil shows in bars ( level) mine changes up and down. no oil uder car is this the iol censor?

I have been monitoring this for some time . this model has no dip stick ,but an electronic reading from left to right. it seems to change from 5 bars and over some months when down to 4 bars the to 3 bars and stayed there for some time .then went down to 2 bars all the time saying OK. I have added an once or at times. The car works fine but concerned. is it the oil censor? please help. can't trust the dealer.

You must be burning some oil, Each bar is around a 1/4 liter of oil. the problem with the BMW system is an accurate reading is only obtained after the engine is warned up. But unless you getting a low warning or other fault, you are fine. A fault would be a faulty oil level sensor, verified with pulling the codes. Have a local BMW independent shop take a look at it or answer your questions vs the dealer.
