Locked car

Asked by Mar 30, 2016 at 09:58 AM about the 1990 Honda Civic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 90 Honda Civic, this morning I
started up and went to open my gate. I
accidentally locked the keys inside and
couldn't get it open. I had to go to work so
I left it running and took my wife's car.
What'll happen to the car if I leave it like
that and it runs out of gas?

You probably will burn out the fuel pump. Is it outside or in a well ventilated area? I would worry about Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Have roadside assistance/AAA get the door open for you, they use a 'slim jim'.
