Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need answers, i feel like the mechanic is trying to get over.
Recently my car over heated bc my water pump was
leaking. I let it sit for three days had it towed and only
moved it side to side bc of alternate side parking. Havent
drove it more than a block since this happen.  I recently had
the car towed to a mechanic,  he put it on the machine and
said yes u have to change your enhine pump.  Fine he
brought the piece.  One week later, he stated he put it on
the highway and it ran fine but noticed when he heated up
the engine was making a noise. A noise that it never made
to my knowledge.  He put it on the machine and said it was
the tension piece. Now i needed to replace that bc the car
wouldnt start.  Now he replaced that and now he saying
that something is wrong with the velve. Im starting to feel
like he is creating these problems or is the caused of these
issues. I want to know if this is normal when changing ur
engine pump or normal issues from a engine pump leak.
And should i be worried and what i should exoect to pay for
parts. Please help if you have knowledge of this or any
spots in new york that i can go to.
