in cab temp control,only blows hot air.

Check the4 condition of the heater tape in the rear of the engine compartment. Check also the vent flaps inside the cab of the vehicle. It could be that a clip holding a flap cable has come a drift

What I had to do to correct this problem,was as follows.First flush out the heater itself,by putting a water hose into the inlet pipe,at the bulkhead,and an outlet pire into the other one,and flush this system,until clean,then join the two pipes with a tube,remove thermostat,replace its cover,then I took the pipes off the lower joint of the engine cooling system,and flushed the whole engine system,once done,put things back as they were,also thermostat,and add distilled water and antifreeze mix. It's never going to be an air con,but at least it blows cool air now. Regards GURUDF2SS

Hi gurudd2ss i am a little lost on what you have explained above. I only have hot air blowing through even thou the switch is on cold air and the air con doesnt seem to work. Will your solution be the solution to my problem?

Hi D3A7HRAC3R64,forget what you read above,if the cooling liquid in your system has been looked after,and is clean.Next you can test if the small valve, in the cooling system is working. This is found behind the board at the bulkhead,(which you need to remove.)under a rubber cover.You can take this small electrotype magnet valve out,when the engine is cold, remove the four screws,there will not be much water coming from here,if you first undo the pressure cap,then with ignition on,engine NOT running, hold the valve,with its connector plug inserted, so you can watch if it moves in, and out, when you change the heater dial from hot,to cold,you will need a second person to do this,if doesn't move, then buy a new Ford unit,as they are far better, made, than pirate parts. Oh, test the plug on the valve,before,with a meter,to make sure 12v's are coming through. It's a crap job,but in hot weather, to not have cooler air is no fun.
