my 1.3i bantam 2008 breaks down at high revs

the car seams fine and when you drive it over about 3000 rpm it goes dead
until you thake your foot of the accelerator and then its perfect below
3000rpm.  the car was perfect yesterday. what could this possibly be

There is a few things I can think of that would cause this, your fuel pump is starting to go, try changing your fuel filter first and see what happens. If no luck test you pump pressure at low and high RPMS. Check your coil pack and wires, cam sensor and also O2 sensors

Check the fuel pressure at the injector rail. (between 2.5 and 3.0 Bars) If you have fitted the NGK spark plugs, Try the Motorcraft available from the Ford Dealer parts department. It could also be the ignition coil, in this case fit a genuine Ford coil pack available through you local Ford Parts department
