No spark

Asked by Nov 20, 2017 at 12:24 PM about the 1969 Plymouth Satellite

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have no spark. I’ve checked the points on the
distributor, all connections, I replaced the ballast
resistor. Not sure where to go from here.

Check for battery power to the coil during cranking, if that's good then you still have problems with either the points or condenser. make sure the points are gapped correctly and the distributor is not worn so bad that the points are not opening. If no power to the coil during cranking then check the wiring from the ignition switch to coil, if that good then replace the ignition switch.
