'01 Dodge Grand Caravan (3.3L SPORT V6) revving and bogging out (not idling correctly)

Asked by Apr 23, 2017 at 10:05 PM about the 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Grand Caravan Sport, that just
started revving and bogging out when i
came to a stop sign. I know a little about
mechanic work but i have no clue what
would cause this to happen so suddenly. I
went to town and back with no issues, then
went to the gas station down the road (for
cigarettes. its not a "bad gas" problem) with
no issue, but as i came to a stop on the way
home, it started bogging down ( <500 RPM ) and revving up ( >1800RPM ). I checked
everything i could think of. (Fluids, air
intake/filter, visible sensors)
Anybody got a clue or answer ? I'd really
appreciate some help.
