Front heater in 2004 Dodge grand Caravan does not blow

Asked by Dec 22, 2016 at 12:12 AM about the 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The front heater in my 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan will not blow on any
setting. The back heat blows fine. I've heard it could be the resistor or thermal
something. I'm pretty handy, can I fix this myself? Going to my mechanic for an
oil change and allignment, should I have him fix it or go to an auto electric

The resistor block also has the thermal limiter as part of its design so when you replace the resistor block you also replace the thermal limiter. However if the thermal limiter did blow then ther is another reason for it, and the most common is the blower motor itself, so if your mechanically inclined and want to save some cash you can do it yourself, you may want to check you tube for some videos on how to do this job and decide for yourself. Just remember to replace both the resistor block and the motor.
