Could this be an alternator problem or just a loose connection somewhere?

Asked by Jacob Mar 27, 2020 at 09:17 PM about the 2009 Mitsubishi Galant

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So a few days ago my battery light and ABS
lights came.. The next morning my car
wouldn’t start, had to jump it and took it in to
Pep Boys. On the drive there my radio
stopped working, all the lights on the dash
were coming on and off and eventually the
engine stopped.
Pep Boys fixed the problem, or so they
said. They claimed that it was just a loose
connection and they tightened it and all was
good. My car ran fine for the yesterday,  but
today the battery light came on again, then
the ABS light and the radio cut out just like
before and eventually the engine stopped.
I’m wondering what cable they could’ve
tightened, or if it is actually a bigger issue.
Everything seems to be connected fine as far
as cables and bolts go, but I’m not as expert.
Any ideas on what could be the problem or
what I should be looking for to fix it??
