Timing belt

I had big o put new tires on. With oil change. N they
call n 1,700 dollars later , they said that I need
timing n water pump things ECT ECT n I wonder
what they saw to alert of this, it has 69,000 miles
on it , 2 owners n taken good care of?

Certainly tires and a oil change would not run you 1700 dollars, somethings missing here. You need more information for the timing belt idea, like the water pump leaking, has an oil seal blown and soaked the belt, stuff like that. This really sounds like they are trying to get you for every service they can, even though it's not time for those.
