If you have electronic throttle control, check for applicable trouble codes. You probably have an accelerator pedal position sensor, it tells the computer what the pedal is doing. Throttle body under the hood probably has a motor on it, to control throttle plate. IS there a driver info center on your dash, does it say anything? Is there a check engine on, suggesting there might be a trouble code?
