2002 Ford Taurus antifreeze is leaking, now soaking driver side floorboard despite replacement of overflow tank which was told was the original problem.
Would a bad heater core be responsible for
antifreeze entering the inside of the car or
could it'd be leaking under hood ie;(bad
seals,hoses or clogged radiator Etc)
somewhere in the engine and/or collecting
in ventilation system and not draining from
the ventilation box which is located near
floorboard, allowing it to leak into cabin?
The only way coolant could get there is if the heater core is leaking.
This is for an 01 but should be the same. Go to: https://diy-auto-repair.wonderhowto.com/how-to/use-shortcut-quickly-remove- heater-core-2001-ford-taurus-396572/
Won't post my guide on what to do, so just search heater core replacement for your year, make and model. The hardest part is getting to the heater hoses and removing them, once the dash is moved just enough out of the way the core is easily accessed.
