Truck won't start

Battery has power

I do believe that insufficient ground is the culprit here...make sure the black cable has two connections...one to the fender/chassis...that one should be free of corrosion of the solenoid will not operate---And---the one to the motor block/or solid ground connection...capable of 40 amps to drive the startermotor~...you could check the voltage at the solenoid (with a helper turning the key) and should be nice-n-strong~ make sure the battery is newer then around 10 years ....or it will not take a charge anymore-that's it, replace the black cable or clean till shiny...make sure the battery is up to snuff and should be okay then~
