I have two gas tank holes on my 1976 Fj 40 are they both for gas?

not sure of your geometry two tanks would be symmetrical possibly for a vent? never heard of this~

I own a 76 fj40 and there is most definitely one gas tank and one "gas tank hole" not sure what you are looking at but unless it has been modified one of them is not a gas tank.
