why does my van have low fuel pressure an engine light blinks
had van serviced, oil change, plugs, wires, coil pack, fuel filter, fuel pump,
air filter, calatic converter gutted, torq converter, auto man cleaned
system, used intake cleaner in the thing behind air filter, claimed to clean a
regulator sensor, i used 2 cans seafoam an 2 bottles heet... van was
misfiring at first,,after doin all the above the van is worse,,the dealer
couldnt find the problem,,3 diff auto men have tried fix,,all did different
things,,now van sounds horrible,, the check engine light is blinkin..i dont
know any of the p codes but the auto man to check it last claims low fuel
pressure,,that it was around 25-30 an that is was suppose to be about 70..
this all began with it jerkin when goin up hills or in curves,,the original check
up with no engine light said multiple misfire.. oh also,,i was told by
autozone there is no fuel regulator cuz it is in the fuel filter an is changed
anytime the filter is changed,,
I'm having the same problem with my 2005 Freestar. My husband has changed the egr valve, fuel filter, manifold gasket, plugs, wires, coil pack. His next step is fuel pump and fuel pressure sensor. Not sure what's going on but I'm going to follow this to see if you get any answers.
Update: Bad fuel injector causing problem with my 2005 Ford Freestar.
