used Mobil 1 turbo truck diesel oil for about 900 miles
will change out to the manuf. spec asap.

I also have inadvertently used mobil 1 truck diesel oil and have spoken to a Mobil 1 rep who did not believe 900 of miles would cause any additional ash deposits to be deposited into close toleranced engineered specs and should not add appreciable particulate deposits to be injected into the filter. He advised me to keep only esp oil in it and to follow change of seasonal requirement for oil weight. This oil is low ash motor oil is recommended for Sprinter diesel engines, Spec. 229.52.
