Why is my Jeep overheating ?

2012 Jeep patriot, 60K, overheats after about 45min-1hour drive. mechanic
replaced thermostat sensor, drive it twice over an hour no problem, but
overheated again yesterday after 45minutes.. any idea what it could be? I get a
tea kettle whistle sound and temperature light comes on.

Check your coolant level to see if it's down because there could have been air left in the system
My 2014 Jeep Patriot kept over heating and that's after I got a new radiator and all the fluids were all checked it was because my heater core was going out so I just bypass the heater core and now my Jeep doesn't overheat at all anymore now that it's winter I have no heater however I went and bought my buddy Mr heater with the propane and all so I carry that around now however check the heater core how you do that I don't know however I did have my both of my thermostats replaced too there's a little one and there's a bigger one and it didn't seem to stop overheating but it ended up being the heater core like I said
