What is wrong with my truck

Asked by Guru9VXMJ9 Apr 13, 2021 at 11:20 AM about the 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Ext. Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2012 GMC Sierra battery was dead last night so I
charged it for a little while then when it was charged I
started driving home and the locks would
automatically lock and unlock and my aftermarket
radio would turn on and shut off and before it shifted
into second gear the RPMs got up to about 4,000 as
if I was reving it because there was no speed increase
and then it jerked itself back after if revved itself.
Someone please help I don’t know what it could be.

I have the same issue with my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500, with a 5.3 L V8. I have had it at the dealership for over a week now. I am in the dark as well. I have a brand new battery in it. I did a load test on the battery & it passed. I did a test on the charging system & it showed bad. I told them this & and no results yet. Door locks go crazy, instrument panel goes nuts, radio goes off, transmission doesn’t shift right. Sounds like our vehicles have the exact same problem.
