the check engine light on the dash plus 2 other lights are on and I can't make them go off my 2009 Rav4

For the check engine light, visit your local auto parts store and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. Most stores will do it for free. Once you get the codes post them and we can help further. As for the other lights we need to know what lights they are. If you can post a picture of your instrument cluster with the lights on that will help. Jim

When the computer turns on the CEL, it also disables other functions, like traction & stability controls, and cruise control. If these are the other lights, you might just have a loose gas cap, and that will display a random code from something else, like a bad MAF. so, as James said, get the codes to find out why the CEL is on. Might have something to do with the EVAP system or /abs brakes.
