Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Pontiac G6 GT is overheating and no heat is
coming into the cabin.  I changed the thermostat and

The water pump is shot and coolant isn't getting circulated.

Could be an air pocket there may be a bleeder on top of the thermostat housing . Does it over heat soon after driving ? Is the exhaust white ? Is there white goop under the oil fill cap ?
