Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does the engine on a 2004 Buick Century need to be removed to replace the
camshaft and exhaust valves?   Also, how costly are we looking at?

Yep no way around that on a front wheel drive vehicle. Costs vary on what the shops labor rate is in your area, but it is going to be expensive that for sure. Best do things like the water pump, serpentine belt, pulley and tensioners, AC compressor clutch assembly, alternator bearings, etc.
