2007 Honda Odyssey sliding door issue

Asked by Hondaowner78 Sep 13, 2022 at 01:19 PM about the 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and the driver sliding door won't activate with the key fob or the door button. But when I pull the handle it opens normally and automatically. Is this something a quick reset can fix or is there an actuator issue?

It's impossible to say exactly what the problem is; it's best to start with reading fault codes, if any. As the door opens normally from the latch, the problem might be the actuator or power to it. The van's fifteen years old, so it might just be dirt inhibiting the automatic feature. If you're capable of working on this, remove trim pieces and get to the electrical connectors. Disconnect and clean them.
