Chevy cobalt 06 squealing

Changed water pump and serpentine belt and now
there's a loud squell in idle and gets louder when
rpm goes up

Belt has either stretched or the tensioner is going bad.

Of course that’s assuming that the job and parts were done correctly.

Belts squeal when they're loose and slips over the pulleys and tensioner. Belt could be misaligned, or it might be the wrong belt.
